Dr Leon Turnbull (director)

Leon is one of Australia’s leading forensic psychiatrists.

He also works internationally.

His clinical work has been Australia wide.

He holds Masters’ degrees in Health and Medical Law (Melbourne University) and Psychiatry (Melbourne University), and a Bachelor’s in Medicine/Surgery (Monash University).

He fills multiple government appointed positions (Medical Panels Victoria, Forensic Leave Panel).

He has advised government departments in troubling immigration matters, including visiting Nauru and other detention facilities.

He continues to provide pro-bono reports for immigration applicants.

He has remained a staunchly independent report writer.

He enjoys following case law.
